Who am I?
Insatiably curious about perception, perspective, and potential
Art
I never understood art until I became an adult. As I see it, art is something you make for the sake of making it. You do it for yourself. You spend time crafting your work, showing off what you can do to the world in subtle ways. If done right, the fact that you spent all that time creating this thing that has no other purpose other than to exist, that’s inspiring! Hopefully, it’ll show someone else that they can do it too. This is how I became an artist. I was inspired to create my own after seeing what others have been able to achieve. Have you discovered your inner artist yet?
Photography
I’ve been taking pictures since I was a kid, I just never thought my work was good enough to display in public. Curiosity led me to print out a couple of my photos in large sizes. They looked great! In 2023 I held my first Gallery opening
My photography looks better framed on a wall rather than on a small screen. Come see for yourself!
Travel
I caught a case of the wanderlust after traveling South of the equator to Brazil and Argentina. Within 7 years I visited all 7 continents on Earth.
Firefighter
Being a volunteer firefighter for over a decade helped me understand my passion for contributing to my community, as well as pushing myself beyond my comfort. I have fought fire in some harsh environments, including Antarctica
And if you mustache me a question, then the answer is ‘no’, I no longer have the sweet mustache : )
Business
After graduating from University, I started a medical transportation company and grew it to a fleet of 30 vehicles with 50 employees
Since then I’ve traveled the world, started and sold companies, and even retired for a bit
Currently I am a Business Consultant with a boutique Management Consulting firm
Burning Man
Music
I am currently looking for music recommendations without lyrics to listen to during my focused work. Here’s an example of a few albums that have been rocking my world lately:
- Dave Pike Set: Masterpieces
- Deep Purple: Concerto for Group and Orchestra
- Keef Hartley Band: Live at Aachen open air festival
- Pink Floyd: Live at Carnegie Hall (or any of their concerts from the 70s: )
- Camel: Snow Goose
- Beastie boys: The Mix Up
- Menahan Street Band: Make the road by walking
- Yo Yo Ma: Unaccompanied Bach cello suites
- Suggestions are welcome
